DuLane Gash was named Director of Accreditation and Corporate Compliance of Birch Tree Communities in July 2018. She is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and the University of Central Arkansas with a Master of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
DuLane has dedicated her career to improving the lives of individuals with behavioral health diagnosis working in the non-profit sector for more than 30 years. Prior to joining Birch Tree Communities, her work experience included positions as Vice President of Quality Management, Regional Director, Director of Supportive Living Services and Director of Programs. In these capacities, DuLane monitored quality management for behavioral health and substance use treatment services across multiple states, facilitated quality assurance surveys, responded to external audits, and developed services for individuals with behavioral health diagnosis. Throughout her career, she has successfully led diverse teams of professionals and developed strategic partnerships
In addition to her work at Birch Tree Communities, DuLane has served as a Surveyor for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) based in Tucson, Arizona for more than 15 years. In her role as a surveyor, DuLane provides consultation and reviews organizations across the United States for conformance with CARF Standards.
DuLane’s professional affiliations have included the National Rehabilitation Association (NRA), Arkansas Governor’s Employment First Task Force, and Association for Persons in Supported Employment (APSE), among others. She has held leadership positions within these organizations to include serving as local and state President for NRA in Missouri. DuLane has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Max T Prince Outstanding Service Award.
With a career marked by dedication and excellence, DuLane continues to make impactful contributions to the fields of mental health and rehabilitation, striving to improve the lives of those she serves.
DuLane was born and raised in Scott County, Arkansas. Her husband, Darryl, works as Logistics Manager for Dillard’s. DuLane enjoys reading, hanging out with her cat, and spending free time with friends and family at Lake Ouachita.
