BIO

Dr. Brad Holloway, Ph. D., LCSW was named the Chief Executive Officer of Birch Tree Communities, Inc. by the Board of Directors in February 2022. He previously served as the Chief Operating Officer and Clinical Director and has approximately 40 years of experience in Arkansas’ Behavioral Health system.

Dr. Holloway began his career as a therapist for the Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System (SABHS). He later served as Lincoln County Director for the system and went on to be named the Assistant Administrator. After 21 years with SABHS, he accepted a position as Clinical Director for Mid-South Health Systems in Jonesboro where he stayed for 10 years.

During his career, Dr. Holloway served as the Clinical Director at Vantage Point in Northwest Arkansas and the Little Rock Community Mental Health Center. He is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has enjoyed sharing his knowledge through teaching at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, Arkansas State University, and University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Dr. Holloway has a long history as a disaster mental health volunteer with the American Red Cross. He has responded to numerous school shootings and weather-related disasters in this capacity and was honored to lead a clinical team at the Pentagon following the tragic events of 9-11.

Dr. Holloway was born and raised in Star City, Arkansas where he was the voice of the Bulldogs on Friday nights for 21 years. He served on the Star City School Board, Lincoln County Quorum Court, Justice of the Peace, Juvenile Intake and Probation Officer, and Director of Parks and Recreation, all while working as the Director of SABHS.

Dr. Holloway is married to Rhonda, who is a home health nurse. He has three children, Ashley Harris, LCSW for the Veterans Administration, Krista Crouch, elementary teacher, and Jacob Holloway, pursuing a Master of Social Work at UALR. He also has four grandchildren, Maddy, Jack, Hannah, and Knox. In his free time, Dr. Holloway enjoys hunting, fishing, and playing golf.
