A Changing of the Guards-
Today, at Birch Tree Communities, Inc., we say Farewell to our CEO, Jack Keathley. Jack has served this organization for the last 8 years with honor and distinction, and he has navigated some rocky waters within the mental health system in our state, and because of his leadership, Birch Tree Communities is in a great position to serve our community for at least another 33 years. Incoming CEO, Dr. Brad Holloway, says of Keathley, “I have had the pleasure of working with Jack for almost 40 years. He has been an unheralded champion for Mental Health in Arkansas and highly respected among his peers, stakeholders and legislatures.”
Our current COO, Dr. Brad Holloway, will be taking the reigns of CEO beginning tomorrow, February 1. Dr. Holloway has been with us since mid-2018, but has a long and very distinguished career in Mental Health in the state of Arkansas including time spent working with and counseling survivors and families of some of our state’s most tragic events including the plane crash at the Little Rock airport and the Jonesboro school shootings. Dr. Holloway was even personally invited to Washington D.C. to work with survivors of the 911 attack on the Pentagon in October 2001. Dr. Holloway is excited to be stepping into the CEO position here at Birch, and he says, “To say that Behavioral Health has changed over the past few years is a gross understatement. With many more challenges to come, my focus will be to do everything in my power to make sure Birch remains strong; while continuing to focus on a Person-Centered Recovery model that offers opportunities for our members to grow as they recover from their mental illness.
The supporting cast and team at Birch is strong, dedicated and committed to our mission of assisting those we serve to live “A Satisfying Life in the Community.”
To Jack: Thank you for your service, and we hope you now enjoy the retirement that you’ve worked so hard for so long for.
To Brad: We look forward to continuing our mission under your leadership. Many thanks to both of these gentlemen.
Together we are #BirchTreeStrong
