As leaders in mental healthcare, Birch Tree Communities, Inc. is making every effort to avoid inciting unnecessary panic and anxiety among our members and their families. We are taking every measure to protect them as well as our employees during this uncertain situation. We are closely monitoring information provided by key government, regulatory, and local entities.
In the interest of protecting the health and safety of our members, staff and community, the following protocol have been implemented:
- Our facilities are fully operational as we continue to provide the necessary prescribed services to our members. We are monitoring for symptoms in members and staff.
- We are actively monitoring and responding to all recommendations made by the CDC and our local regulatory and health authorities.
- We are suspending all community activities, visitors to the group homes and program sites, and members going on home visits.
- We strongly encourage the use of electronic methods of communication with family and friends
- We have increased the frequency of the required cleaning and sanitization of our facilities
- Staff and Members are encouraged to stay at home when experiencing symptoms
- The CDC does not recommend that people who are well wear a facemask to protect themselves from Coronavirus. You should only wear a mask if a health care professional recommends it if you have the virus or are showing symptoms.
- If you develop a fever or cough or have difficulty breathing or have had close contact with someone who has a presumptive positive or confirmed positive COVID-19 test results, please seek medical attention.
