The Mountain View branch is located in the Ozarks and is known for art, folk music, and culture. The branch includes a female group home, the Herman Harley House, which is a converted bed and breakfast named after a former Birch Tree CEO and long-time mental health advocate. Another group home is located just a block from the court square of the town. The program center is in a serene and rural setting just outside of the city. Members enjoy swimming, fishing, hiking and more when the weather allows. Mountain View holds numerous events and weekends on the square, and the local community is extremely supportive of our members.
Each branch of Birch Tree Communities provides adult rehabilitation day services Monday through Friday and supportive services as needed on weekends. Members receive group and individual therapy, medication management, illness management, transportation services, and educational opportunities, in addition to residential housing. Members have the opportunity to go on a variety of outings during the week and on weekends.
Birch Tree Communities staff at each branch include therapists, life skills coaches, program directors, nurses, and dietary aides. The staff works with members on reaching goals through a person centered team approach. We strive to provide an atmosphere that promotes recovery and allows each member to reach their individual goals.
Our branches provide numerous opportunities to help our members integrate into the community, including assisting them in job searches, applying for support services such as housing assistance or SNAP benefits, and other services for which they are eligible. Our staff also assists members further their education by helping to access resources to work on GED testing or higher education courses.
